SARS-CoV-2 nsp10 is a small (139aa) protein involved in the replication and transcription of the viral RNA. Sequence of nsp10 shows high similarity with other pathogenic coronaviruses. Nsp10 binds to and stimulates the 3′-to-5′ exoribonuclease (nsp14) and the 2′-O-methlytransferase (nsp16). Because of its involvement in the formation of viral mRNA capping machinery it represents a prominent drug target.
