The monoclonal antibody nsp10.03 recognizes SARS-CoV-2 non-structural nsp10 protein.
Nsp10 plays a role in viral transcription by stimulating nsp14 3′-5′ exoribonuclease and nsp16 2′-O-methyltransferase. It forms a protein complex with nsp16 which catalyzes the methylation of the viral RNA cap at the ribose 2′-O position. Such methylation process converts the viral RNA cap into a cap-1 structure to mimic host mRNAs and thus preventing recognition of viral RNAs by host innate immunity.
Our anti-nsp10 antibody clone nsp10.03 has been validated in ELISA (on nsp10 recombinant protein) and western blot (on nsp10 recombinant protein), as described in Pribanić Matešić et al. Viruses 2022, 14(2), 443).
