The monoclonal antibody nsp8.01 recognizes SARS-CoV-2 non-structural nsp8 protein.  

Key steps in SARS-CoV-2 replication include processing of the conserved Nsp7–10 polyprotein. After processing Nsp7, Nsp8, Nsp9 and Nsp10 proteins are released. There appears to be a well-defined cleavage order and the predominant product is Nsp7:Nsp8 (2: 2) hetero-tetramer (Biochem J. 2020 Mar 13; 477(5): 1009–1019). The Nsp7-Nsp8 complex is part of the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) which in addition to Nsp7 and Nsp8 molecules contains catalytic Nsp12.  

Our anti-nsp8 antibody clone nsp8.01 has been validated in ELISA (on nsp8 recombinant protein) and western blot (on nsp8 recombinant protein), as described in Pribanić Matešić et al. Viruses 2022, 14(2), 443).
