The monoclonal antibody nsp16.01 recognizes SARS-CoV-2 non-structural nsp16 protein.
Nsp16 protein structure is similar to the 5′-end capping system of mRNA used by eukaryotic hosts. It plays a vital role in evading host immunity response and protection of the viral mRNA from degradation. Nsp16 forms a complex with its binding partner nsp10 to activate its enzymatic activity.
Our anti-nsp16 antibody clone nsp16.01 has been validated in ELISA (on nsp16 recombinant protein) and western blot (on nsp16 recombinant protein), as described in Pribanić Matešić et al. Viruses 2022, 14(2), 443).
