V-set and transmembrane domain containing 1 (VSTM1) encodes two main splicing isoforms, VSTM1-v1 and VSTM1-v2 (Guo, Cell Immunol 2012, 278: 136–142; Steevels, J Immunol. 2010;184:4741–8). VSTM1-v1 is a type I membrane molecule and is mainly expressed in human peripheral blood granulocytes and monocytes (Steevels, J Immunol. 2010;184:4741–8). VSTM1-v2 is a soluble protein that can promote the differentiation and activation of Th17 cells (Guo, Cell Immunol 2012, 278: 136–142). In addition, VSTM1 expression has been associated with rheumatoid arthritis and tumors (Wang, 2016, PLoS ONE 11(1); Zhou, 2016, Apoptosis 21(10):1179-90).
Our anti-hVSTM1 antibody hVSTM1.07 works in ELISA (on immunogen) and in FACS (on human cells).
