The monoclonal antibody anti-MATp2 recognizes MCMV protein MATp2.
MATp2 is a 17-kDa protein that is translated from the MCMV’s most abundant transcript (MAT transcript). It appears around 24 hours post infection and is highly conserved among different field isolates of MCMV. MATp2’s function and a role in viral pathology are still unknown (J Exp Med 2019. 216(8):1809-1827; PLOS Pathogens 2013. 9:e1003611).
Our anti-MATp2 antibody has been validated in ELISA (on immunogen) and WB (MCMV infected cell lysates) as described in J Exp Med 2019. 216(8):1809-1827.
