The monoclonal antibody nsp1.01 recognizes SARS-CoV-2 nsp1 protein.
SARS-CoV-2 non-structural protein 1 (nsp1) is the first protein translated from the viral RNA. SARS-CoV-2 nsp1 inhibits host cell translation by binding to the 40S ribosomal subunit, thus competing entry of eukaryotic mRNA to the pre-initiation translation complex and promotes decay of cellular mRNAs, leading to inhibition of innate immune responses.
Our anti-nsp1 antibody clone nsp1.01 has been validated in ELISA (on nsp1 recombinant protein) and western blot (on nsp1 recombinant protein), as described in Pribanić Matešić et al. Viruses 2022, 14(2), 443).
