m155 is a mouse cytomegalovirus (MCMV) 43-kDa glycoprotein expressed in endoplasmic reticulum and cis-Golgi compartment of infected cells (Loewendorf et al., 2011, Journal of Virology, 85(10), 5208–5212). It is a member of m145 family of MCMV proteins that exhibits structural homology to MHC class I molecules and is shown to participate in viral immune evasion by inhibiting NK cell ligand H60 (Lodoen et al., 2004, J. Exp. Med, 10700(8), 1075–1081). It also downregulates the expression of CD40 in infected antigen-presenting cells, therefore inhibiting the priming of normal CD4 T cell response (Loewendorf et al., 2011, Journal of Virology, 85(10), 5208–5212). Our anti-M155 antibody m155N.01 works in ELISA (on immunogen) and each LOT is validated for Western blot (of MCMV infected cell lysates).
